We are excited to welcome new staff members to the Sauk Prairie School District…
Meet Robyn Fremont, Math Interventionist for Bridges Elementary School. Robyn was born and raised in Hawaii and came to Wisconsin for college. She has a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse.
“I knew that the career I chose would have something to do with youth. Then after taking a few intro courses in education, I really found my passion. My experience coaching volleyball at various levels from 10U to HS Varsity made for an easy transition to skills within the classroom where I was a special education teacher for 13 years. I have a strong passion for building up students as a whole and helping them along their journey to engaging in math. Sauk Prairie is a district with similar values to my own and it is in a strong community with many ties to make you feel like family. I'm excited to start my new journey with you all!”
Robyn, her husband Josh, and step-daughter Charlotte love to go on adventures outside. She has two cats- Rosie and Tigger who are both cuddle bugs. She has been playing volleyball since age 5 and loves the game. Robyn loves crafting and enjoys making costumes for Halloween.
Welcome to Sauk Prairie, Robyn! #togetherwesoar #bridgeselementary

Meet Kristen Arsenault, Reading and Math Interventionist for Bridges Elementary School and Merrimac Community School. Kristen has a Bachelors Degree from Northern Michigan University and a Masters from Grand Valley State. “As far back as I can remember I wanted to be a teacher. I thoroughly enjoy working with kids and find value in guiding them along their educational journey.” Kristen and her husband relocated to Wisconsin about two years ago and really love the warm hospitality of the area. She enjoys crocheting, hiking, traveling and volunteering with her registered therapy dog Louie. Welcome to Sauk Prairie, Kristen! #togetherwesoar #saukprairieschools

School Supply Drop Off is right around the corner!

A first-grade student was moved to tears of joy as she read a farewell card from her fourth-grade buddy. "I really loved being your buddy and am glad that we got to work together. I hope to see you again!" the card read.
Throughout the school year, first-grade classes from Bridges Elementary paired up with fourth-grade classes from Grand Ave. Each month, the classes took turns visiting each other's schools, engaging in activities like games, paper airplane flying, puzzles, and crafts. These interactions allowed fourth graders to act as teachers and role models, while the first graders enjoyed one-on-one attention.
Bethany Hultgren hosted a final celebration at Ruth Culver's Library in Prairie du Sac, for four buddy classes to gather one last time. The event featured blanket tents, soft pillows, and cozy spaces for the children to read together, marking the end of a wonderful learning experience.
The hope is that these bonds will continue, and the students will reconnect in the community, possibly meeting again as freshmen and seniors in high school.

Congratulations!!

Kindergarten ABC countdown continues... O (oreos), P (paper airplanes & puzzles), Q (20 questions), and R (rock-paper-scissors tournament)...oh my! #spsdlearns #togetherwesoar
