Grand Avenue families! Last chance as our lost and found is on the way out. Please have your students check to see if their missing items are here. Any left over items will be boxed up and donated on Friday.
Third grade students in Mrs. Lenerz and Mrs. Cichanowicz classes had the opportunity to meet Travis Beckum. He played for the Badgers, went on to win the Super Bowl with the NY Giants, and is now back working for the Badgers. Travis shared about his experiences and how the character trait of CARING is important even while playing sports. Thank you to Culver’s for bringing Beckum with on their Grand Avenue Community Connection visit. 🦅🦅

It’s “Feel Good Friday” here at Grand Avenue where we ask staff and students “what is something that made you feel good this week?” This week, Ms Yarnell told us “I was impressed with how dedicated our Grand students are to showing their learning and growth in class. One student in particular noticed a connection to a visual in the classroom to their learning that day. Seeing how observant and interested they are in learning is so exciting and rewarding.”
We are excited to welcome new staff members to the Sauk Prairie School District and Grand Avenue… Meet Stephanie Seiler, Special Education Teacher at Grand Ave Elementary School. Stephanie has an Early Childhood Special Education degree and an Early Childhood through Middle Childhood Regular Ed teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She is pursuing Cross Categorical certification through the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. A Sauk Prairie alum, Stephanie enjoys spending time with family and friends and especially enjoys time with her niece who attends Bridges Elementary School. Stephanie learned that she wanted to become a teacher through her work with Ms. Maria Thompson during her senior year of high school. Working at Ms. Maria’s family preschool and childcare opened her eyes to the world of teaching and learning. Stephanie loves working with children and cannot imagine a better profession for herself. She is excited to be working in the Sauk Prairie School District and to be back in her hometown surrounded by many friendly and familiar faces. Welcome to Sauk Prairie! #togetherwesoar #saukprairieschools
